The burden of debt is great. The need for debt relief is clear.

your creditors to Validate your Debt, Negotiate for Debt
Reduction and ask for Interest Rate Relief. Further, your
creditor may agree to these arrangement(s) and still report a
positive credit rating.
Debt Relief is not an automated service. There is never a charge
unless you use the service. You are in total control. Note that
Debt Relief and/or Credit Corrections are services offered that
may result in credit rating improvements.
COMMON
QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS
Collection Agency tactics:
I am in a dispute with a collection agency, yet they
report negative information to my credit reports. Why?
This
is a strong-handed tactic commonly used by collection agencies
simply to get you to pay the collection amount, with penalties,
interest and fees. The F.C.R.A. specifically states that a
creditor may not report negative information on your credit
report if you have given notice to the creditor or the
collection agencies that you are disputing their claim. They
must then get a judgment against you before reporting.
Collection agencies post to your credit in order to heavy-hand a
settlement. In the end, you may settle, but they almost never
will voluntary remove the negative item from your credit report.
This is why you need Correct Corrections.
20 Years?
A
common practice from collection agencies is to pursue collection
by using the power of negative information on your credit
reports. By transferring names of collection agencies or selling
the collection rights, they reset the date in which the original
debt is due. Therefore it seems to the credit reporting bureaus
that this is a non-expiring reportable negative item. They can
continue this process almost indefinitely and in many cases up
to 20 years.
Why did a Collection Agency report a negative item? It
is not my debt!
Mistakes are very common. Especially if you calculate the impact
of identity theft, similar names, similar addresses, etc.
Collection agencies have gotten lazy and are more commonly using
a tactic called “running the number” to collect. This is a
practice of blanket reporting negative items to the Credit
Bureaus just to get your attention in the hope that you will
just pay it and quickly. This tactic often works simply because
the time and pain to remove an item is just too great!
This
practice exists because many Collection Agencies are trying to
shift their business to an all-electronic format with no cost
for letters, phone calls, or judgments. They simply don’t want
to do traditional collection any more, even if that is the only
proper way to determine who is responsible for a debt or
determine the true amount due.
Are Credit & Debt counselors really on your side?
In
many cases, they are not. In general terms, they take between
25% to 40% of what they save you. Some also require a monthly
fee that could stretch for years while you pay off your debts.
They generally require you to take all your debt and put it in
to their program. They do not help you improve your credit
rating, which should be part of the negotiating process with a
Creditor.
When
you use MyPerfectCredit’s DEBT RELIEF program, we take no
percentage of your savings! You control which items are in DEBT
RELIEF and for how long. This is a great service especially if
you only want relief on one or two debt items.
Creditors are careless in their lending practices.
When
times are good, creditors lend at a frightening rate to many who
should not otherwise receive credit. Instead of improving their
lending practices creditors use every collection method
available including incredible interest, fees and penalties, in
their attempt to making your credit so poor, that you will just
succumb to pay it off. Then, once paid off, your credit is still
damaged for years.
Scouring your credit report.
Every major insurer and credit card issuer scours your credit
reports every other month to determine if they can arbitrarily
raise your interest rate or cancel your service. This may not be
a result of anything you have done with them. In fact, they may
see negative information on your credit reports and cancel your
insurance or increase your credit rate even if the item is a
result of identity theft or simply a mistakenly reported item.
This is an unfair practice.
Can I control all the charges and choose which items are
to be included in DEBT RELIEF?
Yes.
You select which items for either Validate Debt, Debt Reduction
or Interest Rate Relief. You have total control. You can opt-in
or opt-out of any item at any time. Please review the demo on
our web site for further details.
CREDIT
CORRECTIONS
To
begin, you, your creditor(s) and the credit reporting bureaus
should agree that what is contained in your credit report(s) is
accurate. This is your right and CREDIT
CORRECTIONS helps you do this.
Most
people do not know how to read their credit reports, even ones
displayed on-line. Most people cannot afford to take the time
away from work to battle the credit bureaus and/or creditors in
order to improve their credit health.
CREDIT
CORRECTIONS helps you accomplish this with
real results. Get the credit you deserve. Let our advanced
automated system do all the work, or you take total control.
COMMON QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS?
How big is the problem?
2.36 Billion errors being reported.
There are over 2.36 billion incorrect, outdated and unverifiable
negative credit items are on file and being reported by the
Credit Bureaus! It really is a big problem!
The
Public Interest Research Group (P.I.R.G) estimates that 70% of
credit reports contain 4 to 5 negative credit items that do not
belong. This most certainly creates artificially lower credit
scores than individuals deserve.
The
calculation takes the P.I.R.G. estimate that 70% of the
approximately 250 million credit reports on U.S. individuals
have an average of 4.5 inaccurate, outdated or unverifiable
negative items across all three Credit Bureaus. This totals a
mind boggling 2.36 billion negative items on credit reports that
do not belong.
Because of this generally unknown fact, the F.C.R.A. was written
with the benefit of the doubt in favor of the consumer.
Therefore, if inaccurate, outdated or unverifiable items are
contained in your credit reports, they are to be removed and
removed permanently.
How long will it take until I see results?
Under the F.C.R.A., the Credit Bureaus must investigate and
respond to disputes within 30 days and sometimes a maximum of 45
days. Each of our cycles is 60 days, which generally allows
enough time for the Credit Bureaus to properly investigate and
respond. Most of our members see results within the first two
cycles, while continuing to see additional results as their
reports continuously cycle through our system.
What are negative credit items and how do they affect
me?
Negative credit items are pieces of information
contained in your credit report(s) that cause your overall
credit score(s) to decrease.
Examples of negative credit items are:
| |
Collection Items |
Late Payments |
| |
Charge-off’s |
Tax Liens |
| |
Judgments |
Bankruptcy’s |
| |
Incorrect Personal Info |
Old Inquires |
| |
Outdated Info |
Inaccurate Info |
| |
Unverifiable Info |
|
The
effect of a low credit score, as a result of
negative items, can be devastating for many years. Lower credit
scores can effect your ability to get credit, insurance and even
a job.
Accurate negative credit items are commonplace
on credit reports. However, if they are inaccurate, outdated or
unverifiable item contained on your credit reports, they are to
be removed and removed permanently.
What if I have perfect credit?
If
you believe this is the case, our research has shown you are the
most likely victim of future Identity Theft. The amount of
damage is can be proportional to your credit borrowing power
prior to being a victim. This can have a devastating effect on
an individual’s livelihood. Our system will keep an
ever-watchful eye for you. Remember the other benefits of
membership: Credit Monitoring, Analyzer, Qualifier, Scoring
Meter, Credentials, DEBT RELIEF and CREDIT CORRECTIONS.
Why does negative information that has been removed
continuously reappear?
When
it comes to getting inaccurate, outdated and unverifiable items
off your credit reports on your own, your battle may never end.
This is where MyPerfectCredit can truly provide a valuable
service. We monitor this strange behavior by creditor(s) and the
credit reporting bureau(s). If a negative item has been removed
and it returns, we will notify the bureaus that it must be
permanently removed.
This
is a tactic often used by collection agencies in a strong-handed
attempt to get you to just settle up by keeping negative items
on your credit reports. In fact, they can use this tactic to
keep negative information on your credit report for up to 20
years in their attempt to collect. This is done no matter if the
item was yours or not.
As a
note, the F.C.R.A. specifically states that once an item has
been removed it must be permanently removed. This more commonly
happens because the credit bureaus and your creditor ignore the
rules of the F.C.R.A.
I am in a dispute with a collection agency, yet they
report negative information to my credit reports. Why?
This
is a strong-handed tactic commonly used by collection agencies
simply to get you to pay the amount. The F.C.R.A. specifically
states that a creditor may not report negative information on
your credit report if you have advised them that you are
disputing the amount. Collection agencies post to your credit in
order to pressure a settlement. In the end, you may settle, but
they almost never voluntarily remove the negative item from your
credit report. This is why you need Correct Corrections.
Can I put a 100-word dispute on my record?
Yes
you can. We do NOT provide this service because our research has
shown this is a waste of time and has very little benefit. Your
credit is determined by your credit score, which is an aggregate
of your credit information. Your score is what lenders generally
look at. Generating this score does NOT take into consideration
your 100-word dispute and it never will. Remember that this
right of adding 100-words was well before credit scoring took
hold.
How can other people's information show up on my credit
report?
Here
are just a few examples that could cause this type of problem:
(1) information associated with someone with a similar name
could mistakenly be associated with your files, (2) many
governmental institutions, such as small claims courts, assign
data based on name only, rather than name and social security,
or (3) the person typing in information could make a mistake.
There's another person with a similar name on my credit
report - what do I do?
Credit bureaus process millions of pieces of information every
day and because of this, you will tend to get unavoidable
errors. Name similarities, transpositions and misspellings all
contribute to the problem. This information does not belong on
your report. Any credit items belonging to this other person,
along with their personal information (names, addresses, social
security numbers) can be disputed and removed.
Why am I
receiving correspondence? What do they mean?
This
is very common. Once MyPerfectCredit begins you will start
receiving regular correspondence in the mail from the credit
bureaus and your creditors depending upon which of the
MyPerfectCredit services you are using.
Some of what you may receive:
From the any of the three credit bureaus:
For your information only:
Informing you that disputes are registered and is being
processed.
Informing you that an investigation about your dispute
request is in process.
This gives the bureaus a little more time for the dispute
process than the 30-day requirement.
Informing you that an item has been removed/deleted from
your credit report.
Refusal to complete a requested dispute.
This is a common occurrence and is a method used by the
bureaus to give them a little more time for the OVERALL
dispute process. We will dispute the particular item again in
the next 60-day cycle automatically unless you opt-out for any
reason.
Copies of your credit reports which may also contain any of
the above updates.
Verification that you are claiming certain items on your
credit reports are not yours.
Removal/Deletion of items you have claimed were not yours.
For you to forward to us.
Verify your address requests.
There is an address mismatch with the credit bureau’s file
and what address you entered when signing up for
MyPerfectCredit. This also means your credit card issuer has a
different address than the credit bureau(s). Please copy your
drivers license and forward to us. Forwarding to us is NOT
required, but can help save you a 60-day cycle in our system.
From your Creditors:
Validation of your debt.
Acceptance/denial of your request for reduction in the
principle amount you owe.
Acceptance/denial of your request for a specific number of
months to pay off your debt.
Counteroffer for your request for debt or interest relief.
Remember, that when you receive the desired response from your
creditor, please log in to MyPerfectCredit and opt-out of that
DEBT RELIEF item so
you will no longer be billed every 60 -days.
Please be patient with this DEBT
RELIEF process. It takes time. This is not
an overnight debt relief program.
If
you have not received a response from your creditor, please give
our system time to cycle through our offer-and-compromise
program. Remember, we are not negotiating on your behalf. You
completely control this process in the DEBT
RELIEF section of MyPerfectCredit.
You
can change your offer for Debt Reduction and Interest Rate
Relief at any time. If you have not received the desired
response from your creditor(s), you can change the parameters of
your offer & compromise from within our system. Otherwise we
will continue our ever-escalating offer-and-compromise
correspondence with them.
Additional correspondence you may receive from any of
the three credit bureaus:
A third-party or a credit repair company may be
disputing negative items on your behalf.
They
are correct! As a member of MyPerfectCredit it is common that
Credit Reporting bureaus will send you correspondence that says
you do not need a third-party or a credit repair company for
disputing negative information on your credit reports.
CREDIT CORRECTIONS
is a service we provide to you. You can do the all the work
yourself or let us do the work for you. With our system you can
even take total control of which items are disputed and what
charges you will incur. You can cancel this service at any time
and/or choose not to use the Correct Corrections portion of our
service.
Our
research has found that approximately 33% of all disputes, no
matter the source, are rejected by the bureaus for one reason or
another. It is our belief this is a corporate tactic designed to
save the Credit Bureaus money and not have to perform the duties
they are obligated to do under the F.C.R.A. At MyPerfectCredit,
we ignore delaying tactics such as this and others that come
from Creditors. Our work continues for your benefit.
Can I control all the charges and choose which items are
to be included in CORRECT CORRECTIONS?
Yes. You can allow our automated system to
perform the work for you or you can take total control. You can
opt-in or opt-out of any item in dispute at any time. Please
review the demo on our web site for further details.
Remember, it is your right.
It
is within your rights to employ a third party to help you ensure
the accuracy of your credit and debt information. If you would
like to submit a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission
regarding the handling of your disputes by the credit bureau,
you may do so online at
http://www.ftc.gov.

IDENTITY
SHIELD
9.9 Million victims a year. 27,123 every day.
This
number of Identity Theft victims was reported by the FTC on
September 3, 2003 and show how large this problem really is. Do
you really hope this does not happen to you? Because if it does,
you could spend 175 hours and over $800 on average just trying
to sort it out. Remember there are 40 hours in the average work
week. Generally, you could not try to fix and ID theft issue
while at work and certainly not on the weekends or after hours
when creditors and the credit bureaus are closed. Remember, this
is the fastest growing crime in America. Let our system help you
monitor, protect and then act upon Identity Theft issues with
your credit reports.
In
general terms, your personal information has not been properly
protected by your creditors, past potential creditors, credit
bureaus, financial institutions, retail environments, or the
government. Your information is constantly in motion around the
real and digital world. It is just there for someone to steal.
This
is not an automated service. There is never a charge unless you
use the service. You are in total control. This is a program
designed to get your creditor, the credit reporting bureaus and
the federal government in action to protect you. This is not
insurance, nor is it just monitoring. This is a proactive
system. It is the first of its kind to protect your identity.
COMMON QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS?
What
is Identity Theft Insurance and can it protect me?
There is a common assumption that insurance is a protection for
you when bad events occur. This may not be the case in identity
theft insurance programs commonly offered in conjunction with
simple credit report monitoring services. Generally, an
individual victim of ID theft must show damages as would be
proved in a court of law. Your debt/credit card company will
most likely cover any fraudulent charges. For example, if a
thief purchases a car in your name, clearly you will not be
responsible for the monthly payments. Therefore, you would have
incurred no damaged or monetary loss that could be claimed
against ID theft insurance.
It
is very important to realize that denial of credit is NOT a
cause for a claim on ID theft insurance. Most likely the problem
is your credit reports need repair and you generally cannot have
proper access to credit until this is accomplished. There is no
protection that is offered with ID theft insurance. At
MyPerfectCredit we have analyzed and researched the possibility
of offering ID theft insurance as part of our services. However,
we have not found any real benefit and therefore have concluded
that your membership would be far better served with our
IDENTITY SHIELD’s proactive service.
What is the number one reported crime to the F.B.I. and
the F.T.C.?
Identity Theft.
What if I have Perfect Credit? Am I safe?
If
this is discovered by a theft, then you are the most likely
victim of future identity theft. Most likely the amount of
damage is proportional to your good credit to borrow power. This
can have a devastating effect on an individual’s livelihood.
Can I control all the charges and choose which items are
to be included in IDENTITY SHIELD?
Yes.
You have total control. You select which items are not yours and
further which items you suspect identity theft. You can opt-in
or opt-out of any item at any time. Please review the demo on
our web site for further details.
